  • does this scope come with flip up scope covers? If no longer, any suggestions?
  • question: does this scope come with flip up scope covers? If no longer, any tips? Answer: the scope does not include flip up scope covers. I bought butler creek ones and that they paintings terrific. For the attention piece go together with size 14-15-16 (their sizing is weird) and for the goal go with thirteen-15. They paintings outstanding and that i don’t have any complaints. By eric on august 2, 2015 did not get solutions. See extra solutions (five) collapse all solutions

  • is it right in dark regions
  • me proudly owning both a 44mm and a 50mm i’d say if you want one for lower light cross 50mm. I’ve heard that it doesn’t be counted but like i said i have each.. The 50mm you could see earlier within the morning and later into the night time.. Simplest down side is if your dealing with a solar upward push or a solar down the 50mm absorbs to a great deal light inflicting a glare.. You could purchase a screw in extender that looks after that tho.. Hope that helped see less

I have had this scope mounted on an AR15 (.300 Blackout) for over two years now. It has really been an excellent scope. It has very nice glass for my purposes and holds zero. The illuminated reticle works very well. I do consider myself somewhat of a Vortex “fanboy” as all of my scopes and binos are Vortex and range from high end to budget models. I have never been disappointed in my Vortex products and they all come with the peace of mind of their outstanding warranty. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business. Disclaimer: This is not a negative review the scope itself at all. Vortex is a great scope at a great value. This is to warn potential buyers who want this scope specifically for a scout style rifle. This version of the 2-7×32 Vortex Crossfire II scope is the model CF2-31003. This particular model has an eye relief of only 3.9”. So it will washout and higher magnification. If you are buying this scope specifically for a SCOUT STYLE rifle. You want the model CF2-31002. This particular model has a a longer eye relief of 9.75”. This is specifically for a forward mounted scope with longer eye relief. Read more

Good scope for the price. The only issue I ran into when mounting it on a Savage A17 was I used a Wheeler bubble level-level. When I was done the cross hairs were out of alignment with the gun by about 10 degrees. I contacted Vortex. They told me that this was not unusual. The adjustment turrets are calibrated to the cross hairs, not the external frame of the scope. Their advise was to use a plumb bob, which I did, and the issue was resolved. Wheeler’s instructions assume the adjustment turrets are square with the cross hairs (reticle). On this scope, at least, it is possible (probable?) they are not. UPDATE: After messing with this scope way too long, I discovered it wasn’t the bubble levels that were a problem, it was the reticle in the scope which was completely detached from the scope body, out of the box. I returned the scope to Vortex, which cost me $28 and they “repaired” the scope. In the meantime I purchased a MADE IN THE USA Leupold, which functioned flawlessly and was much higher quality. Vortex has OK customer service (they gave me erroneous reasons why the scope couldn’t be leveled twice, once by email and once by phone), but you are out shipping costs, even on a brand new, defective product, at minimum. The issue, as I see it, is the little gold sticker on the bottom of the scope “MADE IN CHINA”. Read more

If you own a Ruger Mini-14, you know that it throws brass like a Cy Young award wining pitcher. “Tactical scopes” with large knobs tend to get in the way of the ejection port, causing malfunctions. There are a lot of ways to fix the problem, but I wanted a (relatively) low-cost solution with good glass that didn’t require me to completely dismantle and change out the gas block. Enter the Vortex Crossfire optic. Across the web, Vortex glass is hailed as high-quality. This rather inexpensive Crossfire is no exception. Mounted on my Mini-14 using the 1″ Ruger-supplied rings, it was easily zeroed and is trim enough to not interfere too much with the ejection port. The zero remained consistent after more than 300 rounds., with only two ejection malfunctions. I would like it to be “zero ejection malfunctions” but I don’t think I’ll get that without changing the gas block out. Overall: Excellent glass, maintains zero on a 223 and doesn’t get in the way of the ejection port. It’s the scope for a Ruger Mini-14. Read more

Absolutely love it mounted to my AR10 straight out the box dead center at 100 yards amazing but as some reviews said 12 power it gets “fuzzy” but you can adjust your eye relief to clear that right up Read more
