I have an older Remington slug barrel with Rifle Sights, which the TRUGLO replaced. Drifting out the stock front sight was simple enough, but the TRUGLO seemed to not want to fit in the dovetail. Measuring the stock vs the TRUGLO showed that it was about 0.010” too wide. Since the base of the TRUGLO is aluminum, it wasn’t a big deal to bring it to size with a file. CAUTION – if you are not mechanically incline, have your gunsmith fit them. I left my old white triangle rear sight on and these served to act as an “Express Sight” which worked really well for me. Shooting Federal reduced recoil tactical slugs at 50 yards, I was able to score a 3 shot 3” group from the bench. Very happy with the results. Read more

The front sight was completely dead. No glow whatsoever, even in total darkness! If you intend to use this sight in a well lit range, where you have plenty of time to line up your shot, this sight may be acceptable. However, if you are using this sight on a home defense weapon, it’s completely useless. A waste of money. Read more

The tritium does have some glow, but not as much as it should. The date on the packaging shows that these sights were manufactured nearly 5 years ago. Read more
