Sorry Peeps! I’m not into writing poor reviews but in this case – since my life depends on the accuracy of my EDC, I have no choice. This item has failed me on more than one occasion intermittently and now on a regular basis. I called CTC Customer Service and they say that they will not return it, but that they would replace it. SAD! With multiple failures and now having failures on a constant basis – DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! It’s not even close to MILSPEC! I normally never buy unless MILSPEC is the quality and to be fair, they didn’t say that it was! That said, with such serious need for reliability for my EDC, I could help but warn you! TAKE MY WORDS FOR GOSPEL on this situation! It was great in the beginning. Totally Unreliable now! Sorry CTC! Sometimes loyalties have to be switched based on performance. This is a huge FAIL! Good luck everyone! Read more

I put this laser on my Glock 26 – which is my pocket carry pistol – and am quite pleased with it. Since it attaches from the backstrap area of the grip and goes up above the trigger finger it does not greatly alter the profile of the pistol. Unlike add-on lasers for other pistols, it does not require a different holster to fit the gun. I have several Crimson Trace devices on various guns and like them all, but the ones which hang off an under barrel rail require a holster replacement which this one does not. . Please Note: In so far as i have determined. NO laser sight will be exactly accurate as to bullet placement at all ranges since the laser light is a straight line and the bullet trajectory is not and the laser is offset some amount from the axis of the bore. If you adjust the laser to be spot on (pun intended) at about the mid range of your expected shooting distances – likely 10 – 15 yards for a defensive pistol – then the point of impact from close-quarters engagement out to 25-30 yards will be adequate for “combat accuracy” shooting – which is the intention of a laser. I like it! Read more

This Crimson Trace laser sight is highly satisfactory so far. I first bought a Laserlyte brand which had several problems which prompted me to return that sight to the dealer. It took me about 2 hours to get the Laserlyte sight installed. The Crimson Trace sight cost about 3 times more than the Laserlyte sight, but is more than 10 times better for my use. I haven’t yet found a “cheap” laser gun sight, but I see the light as a necessary form of “insurance” to help assure the desired target is acquired instead of the wrong target. First, the CT product arrived 3 days before the earliest date projected. I was able to install the device to my handgun in about 10 minutes or less and adjusted it as it should be adjusted in maybe 5 minutes. I haven’t yet used the sight for shooting targets, but other reviewers say it retains adjustment well after shooting several rounds. I’ll take their word for that as well as updating this review after using the light for a reasonable time. The biggest advantage I see is the laser is activated when holding the handgun with a grip that’s good enough for holding the gun during shooting. There’s no switch needing to be activated to turn on the light before shooting, which might be very helpful in a stressful situation. There’s a secondary switch which can be used to prevent the laser from being turned on accidentally. I doubt I’ll use that “OFF” switch much if at all, but its good to have the option “unless it gets activated accidentally”. I haven’t had a sunny day to test visibility of the red light since installation on my firearm. Inside the box were all the tools needed for installation. Batteries ARE included. Also inside the box were other money saving offers to be used for buying other products in other purchases. The registration process includes an offer for the owner of the laser to get free batteries for the life of the owner (or for the lifetime of the product) the literature wasn’t specific about the span of the lifetime. The laser fits well onto the grip. I was somewhat concerned – before installation – that the additional mass might adversely affect my grip. That’s is NOT the case. However, I wear size large work gloves (tight fit) so that could be part of the reason for the good hand fit of the gun in my hand after installing the sight. Everything I can see has good fit and finish and the light blends in well with the appearance of the hand gun. I use that ugly Glock. I guess I like ugly. Its comforting to see the light come on as soon as I pick up the gun. The sight does not have any contact with my holster when the gun is inserted into the holster. Again – I’ll update this review when I have more to add. Read more

This is an amazing laser. Fits the gen 4 perfectly. Easy to use. Like that you can turn it off and on. Can see laser in bright daylight easily from 20 feet! It makes the grip a little larger but I actually like this. I am a female and do not have any issues with this. Would buy again and did for a different gun Read more

Love it & really easy to install took me maybe 2min if that…I order It for my glock 27….and if you do not have a glock punch pin tool don’t worry it come with one I did not know that and I order a glock pin puncher but it goes come with everything you need to get the job done, and looking to buy another for my other gun, the laser is really bright so no problem there, next trip is off to the gun range to test it out, but def worth the money for sure… Read more

Great laser, easy to install, and retains zero after being taken off for cleaning. The downside of this laser is it makes your GLOCK 26 feel as large if not larger than a g21 the other downside is its not stipples on the back and sides which is the only reason why I bought a gen 4. I gave it 3 stars because its high quality and the seller shipped faster than the time line that was given but there needs to be improvements made. The one on my full size beretta is much nicer fit. I have one of these for my SW M&P and it works great. This one however I do not like. It adds too much thickness to the grip and because of the Glock design the pressure needed to apply alters my grip. Half the time the laser does not show. I have to really press it for the laser to show. I plan to remove this and probably sell it. I understand it can’t be returned. On a related note, thumbs down to Crimson Trace when it comes to the free batteries for life or to responding to emails. I can’t get any acknowledgement out of them in relation to my previous trace and getting the free batteries. Read more
