Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This product is exactly what I expected it to be and more. If you buy it not knowing anything about its specs in the thermal world, then that’s on you. It’s an entry level thermal. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that some other models have such as video recording or long range capabilities. But inside of 200 yards, it’s perfect. The control functions are easy to navigate and zeroing was easy. READ THE MANUAL and you won’t have any issues. This unit is light weight and compact. It no longer has the “green tint” that is advertised. It’s black and white scale. It also comes with a external power source adapter to use pulsar battery or usb battery packs. The mounting system has a lug so it holds zero even up to 308 recoil. The mount design leaves something to desire, but works perfectly. I also have the comfort of Pulsars great customer service if something were to go wrong Pros -lightweight and compact -comes with all needed accessories -clear thermal image inside appropriate range -Pulsar customer service Cons -no video recording (If it’s something you care about) -no objective focus -limited clarity with range Read more

What a wonderful little scope. I have much larger Armasight scopes, but I was not comfortable with getting a pts233 with Flir planning the consumer hunting market. People call it an entry level scope because of the price, but it is probably as equivalent to older scopes that cost much more. The small objective lense gives relatively small field of view and native magnification. However, the PIP, which I have not used on Flir/Armasight is a really nifty, easy to access tool to help. I really wanted something to put on rimfire rifles, backpackers, or to have to lend to friends. Out to 100 yards, the distance I tested, I could make out deer very well. If I were hog hunting, it would have made for a very competent shot. I think rather than thinking of this like a entry level scope, think off it like a tool. There are impact drivers, cordless drills, and screwdrivers. Each one has there place, and while I might use my impact driver more, it doesn’t mean I don’t want or don’t need a screw driver. I am incredibly happy with the function of pulsar, the ease of use, the image (black and white version), and size/weight. I would consider in the future getting a Trail version of the core Edit: spelling Read more

Scope works.. However I did not receive what was advertised. The mount is not a QD mount and I received the sapphire tint, not white/black hot. Unit also freezes every few seconds. Seller seems to be advertising the latest model and then shipping the old ones out to get rid of them. Read more

Just received 2nd one after 1st one wouldn’t even turn on. So excited how quick they replaced it. 2nd one turned on and seemed to be fine. Decided to hog hunt and can’t get the dang thing to work!! discouraged after changing battery and all. Glad I purchased 3 year plan because I will definitely return. Any suggestions on better quality products?? Thanks Phil Read more

Very nice image. Can see roughly 250 yards to accurately identify targets. You can pick up heat signatures much farther though. Read more

This is my first thermal scope, and really opens up the night hunting experience. It’s addicting to sit on the porch and see wildlife in otherwise total darkness. No bells and whistles, but identification of deer/hogs w/in 100m is no problem. Will probably end up getting a more expensive thermal in the future, but this is a good intro scope for those that want to get in the game. Buyers shouldn’t expect to see same quality as YouTube videos filmed from more expensive scopes, and with that expectation should be happy. Cool scope to have, and even if I upgrade, will be good to have on hand to lend to a buddy – because let’s be honest, it’s more fun when everyone has a level playing field. Read more
