Bought this scope to replace a Bushnell Banner 4-12×40 on a Beeman R9 in .20 cal. The Bushnell held up for thousands of shots until I installed a Vortex tune kit with High Output spring and new piston seal. The rifle shot much smoother, but the extra force of the new spring must have pushed the much older scope over the limits of it’s endurance. Spring guns eat scopes. For the price, this scope was in my range and had been reviewed as spring gun tolerant. The optics are not as clear and sharp as the Bushnell and the adjustable objective lens is not as precise either, but are good enough and the Mil-dot reticle is more usable for variable distance shooting than the duplex Bushnell. Time will tell if it is made well enough to hold up to the thousands of rounds that I put on my gun. I wish I could say more about durability, but after 1,500 shots it’s still holding zero. Not the best scope, but certainly not the worst. With an extra $200 and a 30mm tube you can get a better scope. Do research before you buy. Pending any durability issues I would recommend this scope at this price point. As I said before, spring guns eat scopes. Read more

What a great air rifle scope, the clarity, focus, light absorbing lenses for early or late evening target shooting. Read more

    3. Jesse Gearhart

Great clarity, but wouldn’t hold zero on my 177 gas piston air rifle. Being accurate is about the most important thing in a scope. Tried a lot of sub $130 scopes before finding one that could keep a zero. UTG 10×50 30mm scope has held for 300 shots so far without needing adjusted. The Mantis couldn’t go 20. Read more
