Well, you could do worse! Personally, I really like these binos! I have been an amateur astronomer for over 35 years and have a wealth of experience with telescopes of all kinds and binoculars. Sure, I have better binoculars than the Barska’s but for their price point, you really are getting a great deal! I actually got these not for astronomy but for terrestrial use. I wanted a decent sized aperature with a zoom feature. Most amateur astronomers will shun you away from zoom binos but I beg to differ if you only use them for land observation. First of all these cheap binos are built like a tank! The rubber exterior is well executed and feels great to hold. They are a bit heavy but sometimes this make it steady to hold than lighter weight ones. The coatings are pretty good and the objectives and eyepieces give a crisp view from 10X to 20X. Anything above that and you start to get purple fringing of the image and more difficulty focusing. I find that between 10X and 20X everything is as expected from a binocular of this makeup. It really isn’t a bad image! The diopter adjuster works smooth as well as the focus mechanism. The only reason I didn’t give the extra star is that they are not that sharp at the 30X setting. I think these are a great bargain and would recommend them to birders or the like who don’t need them for astronomical use. (they do a good job on the Moon though if you keep the power down) Read more

I do not write many reviews but felt compelled to do so on this product. First, let me say that when I purchase a product, I evaluate price point versus quality. When I received this product, I was initially impressed with how well built these are. The lens clarity is very good at night and beyond expectations during the day. The zoom feature is a great option and I found the transition from 10x to 30 x to be very smooth. Unlike other reviewers, the clarity was very good up to 25x. Beyond that, slight distortion occurred but only in certain conditions. For example, in brighter light conditions, 30x was clear. The optics adjustments are smooth and easy to move. I also purchased the Barska tripod adapter. This made viewing at higher magnifications a far better experience. Using a tripod gave more of a telescopic feel to viewing and, lets be realistic, at 20-30x, it is difficult for the average person to hold optics steady for field viewing. I use these for hunting and while they are good size, they are not too large for field carry. Overall, this product is a excellent purchase at the price point. You could easily spend twice as much for a product that performs equally as well. Read more

i have had these for a few weeks now and have waited to make sure they weren’t flimsy and made with shoddy work, like other binos i have purchased within the last year(the celestron cavalry 15×70 binos broke completely apart with one fall of only a few ft. onto a grass lawn)… these binos are not like such at all, they are extremely solid and they feel as though, when held in your hands. the rubber covering is also top notch, giving the binos a legit af feel to them, even in terms of being waterproof, as advertised. now, i wouldnt dunk them on purpose, but caught out in the rain, no worries at all my friend….. so, on to the viewability aspect, which is what we all want to know when reading reviews of various binocs…these barska reverse porro 10-30×60 binos have a magnificent view for the class of binoculars they are. i have found the image to be crystal clear from 10x through to about 25x and from 25-30x, i would call the image quite solid and very usable, just not quote crystal, due to chromatic aberration at that level of mag…. there is very faint chromatic aberration throughout the entire range, but that is to be expected with this level of binocs, however, i am very impressed with the bak7 lenses, which, so far, have been on par with almost, if not all of the other binos i have used over the years in a similar price. range and. even a step up, that are using bak4 lenses on them. the collimation came correct on the pair i recieved out of the box and the individual eyepiece adjustment only needs to be ever so slightly adjusted when zooming in and out. i have been viewing mostly astronomy ish with them, though the picture is even better during the daytime, but i do highly recommend these binos for both time periods. the carrying case they come with is serviceable and the straps are solid as wel. if there is one aspect that i think would be an area of tangible improvement, facilitated quite easily, would be if barska would include a tripod adapter with each set of binoculars, as these binos are much enhanced by having them securely strapped or screwed down to a tripod or the like… because past the lowest end of magnification, the picture becomes a bit shaky, at least with my non-doctoresque hands 👐🏻. i have also enjoyed the reverse porro prism design, as this allows them to be much more compact than traditional porro prism designed binos and it seems to be easier to have the image centered correctly among both of my eyes as well with the reverse porro layout. so yeah, overall, obvipusly since i gave them a five star 🌟 rating, i most definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a solid af pair of zoom binos for either day or night viewing, or both as well of course. peec. ✌🏻 💯 Read more
