    1. Buying Frenzy

Not bad for a less expensive scope. There is some fisheye effect at minimum power along with some parallax that moves the crosshair around a bit. But, surprisingly that goes away at mid to max magnification. I will be using this primarily at higher magnification to experiment with it as an optic for my Service Rifle since they have changed the rules and now allow up to 4.5X scopes. The finer center crosshair will be perfect for my intended use. Unless this works out better than expected and I decide to continue it’s use in competition, it will still be an excellent quick action scope at lower magnification and, also, the design of the Euro reticle makes it an excellent choice for something like 3 gun competition or short range hunting applications where fast target acquisition can be essential. This scope lends itself well to both eyes open sighting at minimum power the same as a red dot. I recently bought one of the new TruGlo 1X4X24 30mm tube scopes and had to send it back. At all power settings, that scope had about 1+ MOA parallax and the fisheye effect was so bad you had to center your eye perfectly so it didn’t look like looking through a tunnel. This scope, though less expensive, is so far superior to that scope it isn’t worth making a comparison. I have other Barska scopes and all have been excellent quality for the price. Good optics and not a single failure with any of them. Read more

This took me completely by surprise. When i first took it out it felt solid and durable. I put this on a custom .416 Taylor and it does what its supposed to, handles the pounding recoil just fine, the key is to not “cheap out” on the mounts and rings, my mounts and rings actually cost more than the scope. This scope had everything i was looking for, the size, the style, the reticle, the eye relief for a fraction of what the “popular” brands were offering at a hefty price. This scope is a win. Take the name and markings off of it, put it next to a high dollar scope, no difference. The cost does not dictate quality Read more

Mounted this sight on an airsoft rifle. The optics are clear and the zoom level is easy to adjust. Elevation and windage adjustment controls do not need a tool (good) and click into place. Build quality is great. Hard anodized black coating is tough and the exterior is heavy duty aluminum. I can’t speak for how this would hold up to actual rifle recoil, but the build is sturdy enough that I would be confident enough to try (perhaps with some upgraded scope rings). Great optic for airsoft or a real steel rifle, especially for the price. Read more

    4. J.A.D.

Solid and hefty feeling scope. No “fish eye” and generous eye relief. Love the Euro reticle. This scope is a modern version of the German ZF4. (Think Stg44 or FG42) Used my own cantilever mount, but the ones that come with it would do the job. Will have to see how it holds up to live fire, but compared to the cheap red dot I had on my AR this is an improvement. The price of back up sights is ridiculous so it’s nice to have a scope with a 1.25 magnification for up close work. Couldn’t be happier! Lifetime warranty too. Read more

Pretty good scope for under $100. I really like the 4A reticle and classic European looks. Using on on a CZ bolt action .22 and they look good together. It would make a great woods scope on a stalking rifle. Its not a Nikon Monarch or a Leupold VX3 (I also own both) but its easily $150 cheaper. A little on the heavy side and the reticle seems smaller than my Nikon but for the money it could stand in for a Nikon or Leupold until you had the funds to purchase them. Read more

Garbage, o ring fell out of front lens , lens rattles around inside and Barska wants $24 to replace a defective scope that died the first time used. I will never purchase another Barska product again. Read more

Excellent scope. Good optics, precision, and quality. Only negative was the Barska scope cap emblem had come unglued and was loose in the bag with the scope. Easy fix. Bought it for my 10/22 takedown and it fits perfect in the carry bag. Read more

For an adjustable scope this one is actually not to bad considering it’s sub $100 pricing. Clear glass and the focusing is not blurred. Perfect for a .22 or air rifle. Read more
